Procedure for selecting the candidates for JEE Advanced 2013…
JEE Advanced 2013 will be conducted by IITs’ to admission to all undergraduate programmes will be made through a Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2013. Only the top 150000 candidates including all categories who qualify in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2013 are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2013.
The top 150000 candidates, who qualify to write JEE Advanced 2013, have to register himself online ‘between’ 8th May 2013 to 13th May 2013 through website http://jeeadv.iitd.ac.in. The application fee for JEE Advanced 2013 is Rs.1800 for the General, OBC and OBC-NCL candidates. Only Rs. 900 for the SC, ST, PwD candidates and no fee for the female candidates in all categories.
For JEE Advanced 2013, the following procedure will be used for selecting the top 150000 candidates based on their performance in JEE Main 2013.
75750 candidates (50.5% of the 150000) will be taken from the Common Merit List of JEE Main. The candidates figuring in the category rank lists will be those who do not figure in the 75,750 candidates chosen from the CML. OBC-NCL -27 %( 40500), SC - 15% (22500) and ST - 7.5% (11250) candidates will be taken from the top ranker's of the category rank lists respectively. 3% of the candidates selected within each category will be those belonging to Persons with Disability sub-category.
Only the candidate’s aggregate marks in JEE Main will be considered and no tie-break mechanism will be implemented at this stage.
