CSIR UGC NET exam is jointly conducted by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and University Grants Commission (UGC). PG / B.Tech / BE / B. CSIR UGC NETThe CSIR UGC Net qualified candidates are eligible to teaching faculties across the country. There is a need for skilled faculties in the state and central universities. The situation in the IITs, NITs and other central government institutions is not exempt from the best education and research. Candidates who have passed CSIR network will be eligible for Lecturers' recruitment exams at various colleges and universities across the country. State Level Eligibility Test (Set) is conducted in states. The CSIR network is of high priority. Those who succeed in faculty recruitment examinations are first preferred by CSIR Net.

The candidates who are admitted to the JRF are paid Rs 25 thousand per month for the first two years. 20 per cent of the contingency grant is awarded to the university / education institution once a year. Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) will be paid Rs. 28 thousand per month as per the research progress and interview. JRF and SRF combined with Fellowship up to a maximum of five years. Each subject has a limited number of fellowships.

CSIR UGC NET Qualifications
M.Sc or equivalent qualification / Integrated BS-MS / Four years BS / BE / B.Tech / B.PHARMA / MBBS with 55% marks. Candidates registered for the M.Sc PhD Program with B.Sc (Honors) or equivalent Examination with 55 per cent marks may apply for final year M.Sc students. They are considered as a waiting for results category. SC / ST / OBC candidates must have 50% marks on the basis of reservation rules.

Age Limit:
To qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), it should not exceed 28 years by July 1, 2017. Five years for SC / ST / OBC and Female candidates upper age Limits will be relaxed for three years. Lecturer candidates do not have the maximum age limit.

CSIR UGC Net exam Method
There will be a single paper. For a total of 200 marks, multiple choices of questions are answered. There are questions about the subject. The test duration is three hours. The question paper is in Hindi and English medium. There are three sections in exam...

Part-A: This section is common for everyone. Logical Reasoning, Graphical Analysis, Analytical and Numerical Ability, Quantitative Comparison, Series Formation, Puzzles etc are questions to test student aptitude. There are 20 questions from this section.

Part-B: Multiple Choice Questions are used to question the knowledge on the chosen subject. Questions related to all topics in the syllabus come in this section. The number of questions varies according to the candidate subjects. There will be 20 to 35 queries.

Part-C: Problems with questionable questions come in to examine knowledge and in-depth analysis in the selected subjects. The candidate should use his scientific knowledge to analyze the questions and find answers. The number of questions and differences in the margins of the subject differs from the subjects.

Negative marks:
Negative marks are applied to the wrongly recognized answers in all areas of the test. Each wrong answer consists of negative marks based on the marks assigned to the question.

CSIR UGC NET Application Fee: General - Rs.1000/ - OBC(NCL) -Rs 500/-; Rs 250 for SC / ST / PHC Candidates. All candidates need to download bank Challan from the website. The prescribed fee should be deposited in any Indian Bank by September 15. After the registration, candidate must complete the application online. After submitting online application, send the print out of relevant certificates and send to the Examination Unit, Human Resource Development Group, CSIR Complex, Pusa, New Delhi.
